How We Work With Foster Carers.

We work in partnership with City Councils and private foster care homes all over the UK to provide training for foster carers and staff within foster homes. The training helps workers and carers to provide vital support and care for Black and mixed heritage children with their haircare and skincare needs. 

 

We have found that foster parents and residential carers from different ethnic backgrounds to their foster children are struggling with maintaining and looking after their children’s hair and skin, due to a lack of knowledge and experience. Through practical training, we aim to build the confidence of the foster parents and residential carers to help them to take care of their children’s hair and skin appropriately.

 

The courses run multiple times a year to support changing environments and we are asking for all councils to make such training mandatory for those under their jurisdiction in the coming years.
